the 80's were dark

the 80's were a dark period. dark with pastels and plastic. And crazed clothing designers took everything that was good and made it art which became a mountain of candy coloured sweatpants and mesh tops that now wipe the windshield of your car, encased in rubber.

People wanted to walk and play their keyboard. gone was the old fashioned notion of sitting at a piano.

songwriting died to make room for the television star.

I was so happy when the calendar turned to 1990, I couldn't wait for the 80's to end. from 1979 to 1990, i held my breath.
