maybe the smartest thing i've done as a parent was to buy reams of printer paper and binders with plastic sleeves and every time my children draw something i put it in their binder. they are amazing books. I have a pen/crayon/marker lazy susan holder and paper always handy on the kitchen table, so when there's a bit of time to kill the kids will just draw stuff.
